BOT Challenge!

Image

Just about over 1/3 of the people I follow on Instagram happen to be fitness and health freaks like myself, one of them being @Brinna_Sky who came up with this BOT challenge and I decided to give it a try starting today!

My summer just started two days ago, and these two days have been filled with a bunch of unhealthy food, and my sluggish energy and fatter face are proof of that. I needed something to get me back to where I was and then some and I remember seeing her post her before and after pictures and wanting to try her challenge however I was not in the mood too. So this is now my motivation to keep on going.

In summer it’s hard with all the parties, late night snacks, movie nights, and bonfires to stay consistent with dieting. I have no problem staying on track when I am by myself, but it always seems as soon as I have a sleepover at someone else’s house it’s to the junk food I go (since I have none at my house). But I’mm promising myself today that this is a new beginning, and I’m excited to see what these four weeks hold for me! (Four weeks instead of six because I’m going to Italy in a month and won’t have the resources I do now.)

So please try this challenge with me! And post before and after pictures or progress pictures and we can go along this journey together! No matter what point in our health we might be at we can always improve in some way, so you never know; maybe this will push you to places you haven’t been before!

Happy BOT Challenge ❤

Healthy breakfast!!

Image

Ingredients:

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 whole ruby red grapefruit

This breakfast is filling and it also is a great breakfast for quick starting your fat burning process, that’s what grapefruits are known for! A lot of people are not big fans of grapefruit due to it having a little bitter taste, however; I find them delicious! But I didn’t always have that mind set, my first time having grapefruit I had to force myself to finish it because I wasn’t use to having something so tart, but now I can’t seem to get enough!

This is also just over 200 calories! Great for those who are counting calories!

Happy dieting!

The truth behind thigh gaps!

Having a thigh gap is mostly based off of your bone structure. Someone with wider hips has a better chance of having a thigh gap than someone with narrow set hips. However this doesn’t mean that someone with narrow hips can’t have a thigh gap, however it may be harder for them to achieve.

For me, I have wide set hips, and I have about a 1.5 inch thigh gap. Now personally I would much rather have narrow set hips and not have a thigh gap than have what I do; however I can’t change the way my bones are! And neither can you. Whether you have a thigh gap or you have the ability to still get the legs you want by eating right and exercising daily!

6/17 Cardio, Abs

I pushed myself today, I am proud of myself! This workout kicked my ass today! And to the cute guys at the gym looking at me like “oh shit she can run that fast?!” Hell yeah I can. *flips hair* Cute guys at the gym are always good motivation.. Some lady did see me take this selfie, it was a tad bit awkward, but I don’t care; my face describes how I felt in the moment after it all!

Song of the day: The Scientist – Coldplay

Tip of the day:

Normally I workout 5-6 times a week, however this last month there has been temptation, and I’ve only been working out for 4 days a week. I have almost given up and I’ve had to make sacrifices. But I know what I want, and I dig deep to find my motivation to power through the hard times. Because at the end of the day, I’m doing this for me and only me.

Today’s workout attire:

(i understand you can’t see my shirt, however the color is the best part so I got the goods at least)

  • Shirt – Forever 21 (13$)
  • Pants – Target (20$)
  • Shoes – Nike (99$)

Food intolerance

Within the last two years, I have learned I have a food intolerance with macadamia nuts. For those of you who are unaware of what this is the best I can explain it as is that it’s similar to being allergic to something however your body can’t digest. I haven’t done much research of food intolerances so I may be wrong in it means however that was my interpretation.

Anyways, two years ago on a plane ride to Hawaii I had macadamia nuts and ( hours later I felt nausea and as if I had to throw up, eventually I did. However I didn’t think much into this being anything. And then later that year I had chocolate cover macadamia nuts and I became very very sick and was throwing up non stop for 2 hours, it then occurred to me that something wasn’t right whenever I ate them. But because I had always had around 7 macadamia nuts I figured I would be okay for some reason eating a granola bar that only contained 2 full nuts at most, but I was very wrong and a few hours later I was throwing up and unable to make it to Father’s Day dinner.

So my question is, does anyone have any other similar stories? Or any possible answers as to why this happens? Or does any one have any other stories they’d like to share? Feel free to comment!

Progress abs

With the extra cardio I’ve been doing this week, I’ve noticed huge differences in my body! My stomach is becoming more defined, and my lower belly fat is decreasing!

Don’t give up on yourself. And you feel like giving up, think of your goals and were you wish to be!

Favorite on the go healthy snacks!

Image

So of course I have to throw in some fruit because y’all know how much I love my fruit!

But instead of spending 2-3 minutes cutting the kiwi and cutting off the skins, cut the kiwi in half, and use a spoon to scoop out the insides! So much easier and faster and you can do while driving!

And of course a banana! Also fast and easy when you have close to no time to pack a lunch or snack for the day!

Other favorite snacks (not fruit)

  • Almonds (pure, organic, no salt)
  • Whey protein shake (with water)
  • Non-fat Greek Yogurt with granola

Happy snacking!

Jeggings: Nordstrom- $50.00

Shoes: Nine West- $90.00

Bracelets:

  • Blue: Target- $6.00
  • Tan/Sliver: Charlotte Russe- $5.00

Ever have those days where you just aren’t that hungry, nothing sounds good, and you are digging through your fridge and pantry to find something that looks even remotely good? Well that’s how I feel today. I know I need to eat something, but 10 minutes of looking and I felt like I was puke after thinking of things to make but none of it sounded appetizing.

What I’ve eaten today:

  • Special K chocolate morning shake (in a hurry)
  • Starbucks skinny vanilla chai late iced
  • Banana
  • Another Special K breakfast shake for lunch even though it’s not breakfast..

Normally I try to not eat processed foods, but today food is just not my friend. But instead of not eating anything, I force myself too. Which doesn’t sound good, but it’s better than not eating anything right?
